Malindo Air will commence its second route to Bangladesh next year, with the launch of services to Chittagong.
Effective 2 January 2014, the Kuala Lumpur-based airline will fly three times a week to the Bangladeshi port city, with services operating every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Flights will leave KL at 1930, while the return service will depart Chittagong at 2220.
“Chittagong is an important regional gateway and transit hub by many neighbouring countries, including India and China, as well as other international investors,” said Chandran Rama Muthy, Malindo’s CEO. “Malindo Air will be able to provide business and leisure travellers with convenient connectivity options with our thrice weekly services.”
The Chittagong service will be operated using a brand new Boeing 737-900 aircraft, complementing Malindo’s existing KL-Dhaka service.
Located where the Karnaphuli River meets the Bay of Bengal, Chittagong is the second biggest city in Bangladesh.
