The award-winning Manchester Christmas Markets will return for 42 days starting 10 November, the city council has confirmed.
Offering an array of produce across more than 300 stalls with traders from around the world, the Christmas Markets attract visitors from across the UK and Europe.
At the heart of the city’s Christmas celebrations for 17 years, the Christmas markets have gone from strength to strength with new traders coming onboard for 2016.
Highlights will include the German Christmas Market on St Ann’s Square with Glühwein, Bratwurst and handmade gifts, plus an array of usual crafts and food on New Cathedral Street.
Albert Square hosts the biggest market with traders gathering from all over Europe. Regulars returning, include the hugely popular singing Christmas Reindeer and the German Beer Tent.
The ever-popular line-up of chalets will offer sizzling bratwurst, speciality beers and wines, along with an array of continental cheeses, British Hog Roast, Christmas trees, fabulous food from Switzerland, delicious preserves from Portugal, cakes, biscuits, fresh crêpes, tasty toasties and hot, spiced punch. Many stalls offer free entertainment from Christmas carols to Spanish flamenco guitar.
