Manchester prepares for A380 services

An Emirates A380 is set to fly from Manchester to Dubai on 1 September, marking the superjumbo’s first scheduled service to a regional airport. Executive Vice Chairman Emirates Airline and Group Maurice Flanagan, who was born in the North West, and will be on Emirates’ first superjumbo service to Manchester. “The A380 is proving to be a big hit with our customers - our advance bookings are already 20 per cent up from the same period last year.” The Emirates “superjumbo” carries up to 517 passengers.
