Mandarin Oriental plans private Maldives retreat

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has signed a management agreement for a luxury resort currently under development on a private island in The Maldives. The Mandarin Oriental, Maldives, scheduled to open in the next 12 months, will feature 114 spacious, stand-alone villas, including 20 water villas and four Presidential villas, all with their own private pools. The luxurious hideaway is being developed on its own exclusive island, Maavelavaru in the Noonu Atoll. The resort will also include The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Maldives.
