Mandarin Oriental to open Istanbul property

Luxury hotel chain Mandarin Oriental has signed an agreement to manage a new property in Turkey, which is due to open in 2016.
The property, which is currently named the Mandarin Oriental Bosporus, will be located in Besiktas, on the banks of the strait which connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara.
The property will feature approximately 130-rooms, ballroom, banqueting space as well as facilities for both business and social events.
The hotel will be built and owned by Astaş Real Estate Investments and Tourism A.Ş – the same company Mandarin is going to be operting the Bodrum with when it opens in 2014.
