Australia’s Mantra Group has followed up its recent debut in Indonesia with the signing of the first luxury Peppers hotel in Bali.
The company has signed a management agreement that will see it take over the running of the Sentosa Seminyak Resort. Rebranded as the Peppers Sentosa Seminyak, the resort is due to be relaunched in March 2013, joining the existing Mantra Nusa Dua on the ‘Island of the Gods’.
“We are very proud to have a resort the quality of Sentosa Seminyak carry the Peppers name,” said Mantra Group’s CEO, Bob East. “To see the brand evolve from a group of small boutique retreats some 30 years ago to then include larger scale resorts in Australia and New Zealand, and now move into Asia is a historic occasion.”
Peppers Sentosa Seminyak comprises 177 rooms, including 49 three-, four- and five-bedroom pool villas. The resort also includes a restaurant by famous Australian chef Luke Mangan, a spa and MICE facilities.
Mantra is now planning to launch two more Peppers and Mantra properties in Indonesia, details of which are expected to be announced in the first half of 2014.
