Ortigas Business Centre is located in Manila’s CBD, the site of Marco Polo’s new hotel
Marco Polo Hotels Group has secured the management contract on one Manila hotel and is talking about taking on another.
The new Ortigas hotel, at the Ortigas Business Centre, will be open in late 2013 or early 2014 under the Marco Polo brand. The five-star hotel will feature 313 rooms and suites, a swimming pool and spa, Marco Polo’s signature Continental Club Floor, a Ballroom and eight function rooms. F&B offerings will include an all day dining restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, a lobby lounge and a Sky Bar.
Marco Polo President, Steve Kleinschmidt, told the Manila Bulleting Publisching Corp that the company is looking for another hotel to operate in the Manila Bay area and is currently in talks with various development groups. With the city gaming industry booming, Kleinschmidt admitted that Marco Polo is open to collaborating on a hotel-casino project.
Marco Polo already operates two hotels in the country with one property in Davao City and the second in Cebu City.
