Opening on 15 April 2015, the Niccolo Chengdu will be located in the International Finance Square development, in the centre of Sichuan’s capital.
Marketed as a “contemporary urban chic hotel”, Niccolo Chengdu will offer 230 rooms and suites, plus a range of F&B options including The Tea Lounge, Niccolo Kitchen, Yue Hin Chinese Restaurant and The Bar.
Leisure facilities will include a 6th floor wellness centre including a 20-metre pool, dry saunas and a fitness centre, while the MICE market will be catered for with the Niccolo Ballroom, The Conservatory, a glass venue surrounded by gardens, and several smaller function rooms.
Guests will be offered local “insider” information by the concierge, plus the opportunity to attend the Niccolo Lecture Series and participate in traditional tea rituals.
“The opening of Niccolo Chengdu will be an exhilarating event as it is the first of the Niccolo brand,” said Andrew Abram, the hotel’s general manager. “To have an exceptional team looking after each of our guests in a truly luxurious setting in the centre of the city is a unique concept that everyone should experience. We look forward to welcoming you to Niccolo Chengdu.”
The hotel will open in stages from 28 March, prior to the full launch in April. Following the Chengdu property, Marco Polo plans to expand the Niccolo brand to other Chinese cities including Chongqing, Changsha, Suzhou and Wuxi.
