Marriott has continued to expand its portfolio of midscale hotels in China, with the opening of a new Courtyard hotel in Zhejiang province.
The 201-room Courtyard by Marriott Xinchang becomes the brand’s 16th property in the country, and the first internationally-branded hotel in Xinchang, which is located 3.5 hours’ drive from Shanghai.
It forms part of the Heyue Plaza, new complex consisting of offices, a shopping arcade, banks and entertainment facilities.
“We are excited to see that this brand enjoys soaring popularity in China,” said Henry Lee, Marriott’s chief operations officer & managing director for Greater China. “This new addition to our Courtyard family will bring a refreshing hotel hospitality that has not been available in Xinchang before.”
All guests at the new hotel will be offered complimentary Wi-Fi, while facilities include a 24-hour fitness centre, executive lounge, restaurant, and 1,000m² of meeting space including a 650m² ballroom.
