Marriott raises money for Islamabad victims

Marriott International executives yesterday presented a cheque for US$300,000 to the Hashoo Foundation to provide assistance to the families of those affected by the 20 September bomb attack on the Islamabad Marriott Hotel. The picture shows Geoff Garside, Executive Vice President for Marriott Asia-Pacific, presenting the cheque on behalf of Marriott, to the hotel’s owner, Saddrudin Hashwani, Chairman of the Hashoo Group. The ceremony took place at the hotel.
