Marriott International has unveiled plans to expand its luxury portfolio in Vietnam early next year, with the opening of a new JW Marriott resort on the southern island of Phu Quoc.
Scheduled to open on 25 January 2017, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa will feature 243 rooms, suites, apartments and villas, with a minimum size of 54m².
Much of the resort has been created by Bill Bensley, the famous Asia-based hotel designer and architect, and Marriott says that “no two spaces are alike”.
The resort features an array of amenities, including restaurants serving Vietnamese, Japanese, French and Chinese cuisine, a beachfront seafood grill, bar, outdoor pools and a spa. There is also 1,100m² of meeting space, including a 715m² grand ballroom.
It becomes the luxury brand’s second property in Vietnam, following the JW Marriott Hanoi.
