Marriott International has signed franchise agreements to open three hotels in Europe. Deals have been struck to run three city-centre properties including the Hotel Schiller, Lucern. This property will become the 87-room Renaissance Lucerne Hotel in 2011. In addition, the Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel and Renaissance Paris Saint-Cloud Hotel are set to open in 2012. “We are thrilled to announce these three new Renaissance Hotels as we continue toward achieving our growth goals in Europe,” said Amy McPherson, president and managing director of Marriott International in Europe. “As we continue to expand throughout Europe, I am excited for us to add distinctive hotels like these to new destinations for us such as Aix-en-Provence and Lucerne.” Marriott plans to double its European presence by 2015.
