MAS opens new Indonesian ticket office

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has launched a new ticket office at the at Melia Purosani Hotel in Yogyakarta. Customers to will be able to use the office purchase tickets for MAS, Firefly, MASwings, as well as services offered by MASholidays.
“Travelling is not merely about the experience inside the plane. It is also about all parts of the journey – from planning to buying the ticket for the entire trip. The ticket office for us is a key component of our customers’ purchase experience whether they are passengers or travel agents,” said the airline’s ASEAN Regional Senior Vice President, Muzammil Mohamad.
“As we create new products to match the size of our customers’ wallets, our team is able to help customers decide on the right choices as they engage over the ticket counter.
“Yogyakarta is the home to more than 50 institutions for higher education in Indonesia. This ticket office taps the growing commercial, student and residential areas within Yogyakarta and in line with Malaysia Airlines’ continued efforts to further strengthen our market presence in Indonesia. We have been operating this route since 2008. Passenger that we have carried has been increasing 20-30% every year. Last year, we have carried almost 30,000 passengers between both cities,” Mohamed added.
This Yogyakarta ticket office is the sixth MAS ticket offices in Indonesia, following existing facilities in Jakarta, Denpasar, Bandung, Surabaya and Medan. The airline operates three weekly flights between Yogyakarta and Kuala Lumpur.
