Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will suspend its thrice-weekly services from Kuala Lumpur to New York via Stockholm from October 2009. Bernama reported the airline’s Commercial Director, Rashid Khan, as saying that the decision was made due to a drop in demand due to the global economic crisis.
“The suspension is part of our continuous review to ensure that we retain the correct balance in network and fleet utilisation given supply and demand,” Khan said.
