MBR delegation explores The Wave

In an effort to explore new horizons, Market Based Representatives (MBRs) of the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) Oman were welcomed at The Wave. The initiative was to tour the master plan’s various existing and planned aspects that can be promoted as unique tourism selling points in more than 15 key markets across the globe.
The MBR team explored the many amenities and identified ways to further encourage more tourists. Hawazen Esber, CEO of The Wave, Muscat, said: “This is part and parcel of the MoT’s efforts to encourage inbound tourism to the country and support mega hospitality projects. The projects range from the 18-hole PGA standard links Almouj Golf, 400 berth Almouj Marina and luxury hotel facilities.”
Leslie Rigal, in charge of promotion at the Ministry of Tourism’s Office in France provided an overview for French tourist stating that in 2013, number of French tourists reached 47,000, marking an increase of 19.3%.
