Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has launched its first ever M Hotel in China.
The Singapore-based hotel company recently opened the M Hotel Chengdu in the Gaoxin district of the Sichuan capital, close to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
The M Hotels brand was actually launched in 2000, but the opening of the M Hotel Chengdu marks the brand’s first property outside Singapore. According to M&C, the brand is intended to cater to a “younger set of business and leisure guests” with high-tech amenities.
“With its hip angular walls that feature art décor themed on the ‘Three Kingdoms’ and its flawless locally-inspired contemporary design, the hotel offers a fresh new look to this bustling city,” the company said in a statement.
M Hotel Chengdu features 196 rooms and suites, ranging from 35-235m² and all equipped with separate working areas and a flat screen televisions. The deluxe rooms also include kitchenettes.
Hotel facilities include two conference rooms, a gym, indoor swimming pool, squash court, table tennis area, billiard room, children’s play area and a library.
M Hotel Chengdu becomes M&C’s ninth hotel in mainland China and its second in Chengdu, following the 359-room Millennium Hotel Chengdu.
