Melia Hotels International has continued its expansion in Southeast Asia with the signing of three new resort properties under its new lifestyle brand, Sol House.
The 132-room Sol House Kuta Bali is already open but will be renovated over the coming months, while the 178-room Sol House Jimbaran is scheduled to open in 2018. Both hotels will feature restaurants, swimming pools, spas, meeting rooms and children’s activities.
And Melia has also signed its first Sol House resort in Vietnam. The new Sol House Phu Quoc will be a 226-room and -villa beach resort located on Phu Quoc Island. It is scheduled to open in 2016.
“For decades our company has led the resort segment in the major part of the Mediterranean and in the Caribbean, so we are in a great position to grow in the key holiday destinations in Asia,” said Melia’s president for Asia Pacific, Bernardo Cabot. He added that Sol House will “revolutionise the traditional sun and beach concept”.
Melia’s Asia Pacific portfolio now stands at 20 hotels – eight currently operating and 12 in the pipeline.
