The high-valued Middle East market has huge potential and is predicted to have a total of 81 million outbound travellers by 2030.
Ricardo Gomes, director of sales, Westin Doha Hotel and Spa said: “The MICE industry has been growing globally; however, we have noticed that travellers from Middle East region are high spenders and tend to have longer stay to the destination they are visiting. This event gives us major prospect to meet and greet with upcoming demands of potential clients.”
According to a recent report by WTO, UAE is being positioned as a global business hub for inbound and outbound business travel. The average tourist spends US$22,000 a year on flights and accommodation alone, totalling US$6.6 billion annually spent on outbound travel.
