Midcounties Co-operative and Holiday Extras have been named as the first companies to support the Travel Foundation’s new Travel Lottery.
Both companies will offer clients the chance to purchase tickets for GBP2 which will enter them in a draw to win prizes and support sustainable projects.
“We’ve always been supportive of the good work done by the Travel Foundation and are keen to engage our customers and staff with ways to support holiday destinations,” said Sue Reid, general manager for distribution at Co-op Travel.
Anthony Clarke-Cowell, associate merchandising director at Holiday Extras, added: “The Travel Lottery makes things really easy: we raise money for a charity that is working to safeguard the future of tourism – and with a bit of luck some of our customers win big too. Any and every business that relies on tourism should get involved and support this fantastic new initiative.
