Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East and Africa (MEA) has upgraded the Millennium Hotel Amman to a five-star deluxe-brand – Grand Millennium Amman in Jordan. The redesign was carried-out by Jordanian Charles Glain and Christopher Guy.
The upgrade involved refurbishing the interiors, fixtures and furnishings, creating additional meeting and conference facilities, as well as enhancements to the Moroccan Haman and spa. The hotel is now planning a new entertainment programme with new promotional packages, supported by a creative marketing campaign.
“The ambition of the Grand Millennium Amman epitomises our plans to manage 50 properties across the region within the next three years. Ongoing investment is vital to our strategy and we would like maximizing the return of our business partners,” said Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi, president and CEO, Millennium and Copthorne Middle East & Africa.
Grand Millennium Amman offers some popular restaurants such as the Sky Lounge located on the 21st floor works well for weddings, while other outlets include Asian-inspired Toshi restaurant and Lebanese Fattoush and the Crystal Bar.
Currently Millennium & Copthorne Hotels operates 17 properties, with approximately 5,000 rooms across UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Oman and Iraq. The company has plans to expand its portfolio with the addition of 50 new hotels by 2017.
