Malaysian hotel company, Cititel Hotel Management (CHM), plans to open up more properties under its Cititel Express brand in Sabah and Sarawak, Bernama has reported.
The company’s Managing Director, Eric Lim, was reported saying that the company was in the process of seeking prospective sites for development.
“We will focus on [Sabah’s] state capital (Kota Kinabalu) first before moving to secondary locations in Sabah and Sarawak,” Lim told reporters at the launch of CHM’s first Cititel Express property - a new 275-room property within Kota Kinabalu’s Asia City complex. He failed to give any timeline for the new developments, adding only that CHM would consider new hotels “when the opportunity arises”.
