Morgans Hotel Group plots expansion

The hotel group, which is behind the Mondrian name and St Martins Lane in London, has signed a 15-year agreement with Hivernage Collection to open two hotels in Marrakech, Morocco. These will include the 73-room Delano to open this September and the Mondrian in late 2013. In addition, the group is in stages to open a Mondrian in Turkey, Doha, Nassau and London, as well as a Delano in Turkey and a Hudson in London.

The new Delano Marrakech will debut new lounge and bar concepts with a roof deck, nightclub and French and Italian restaurants.
Morgans currently has properties in Boston, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and London.
