Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts debuts in Riyadh

In a bid to strengthen its presence in KSA, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts have announced the opening of Mövenpick Hotel Riyadh.
This also marks the debut of the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts brand in Saudi Arabia’s capital city. The property is the result of a SAR 800 million (US$213.2 million) investment. The hotel features 438 rooms and suites.
Andreas Mattmüller, chief operating officer, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Middle East and Asia said: “We have always felt a strong connection with Riyadh and are now to have the opportunity to cater to guests.”
Some of the restaurants include Acacia by Pierre Gagnaire, Naya which serves modern Lebanese cuisine, authentic Indian restaurant Anardana and the all-day dining outlet Horizon. Additional features include the Rio Health Club, massage rooms, sauna, ice room and pool; 12 meeting venues, grand ballroom; and a kids club.
Mövenpick Hotel Riyadh’s debut marks the hotel’s goal to operate at least 15 properties across Saudi Arabia by 2020. The latest hotel opening boosts inventory to 3,894 rooms kingdom wide.
