MSC Cruises has started to roll out its new agent booking platform MSC Book.
The in-house system will be soft launched with Barrhead Travel, Cruise.co.uk, Iglu and Cruise Nation in the following month with more agencies to gain access each week during September.
The platform will make it easier for agents to book its itineraries and products as part of the new ‘Serving You’ initiative.
It also acts as a resource centre with agents able to see all confirmations and documents, information and commission earned.
MSC Book replaces MSC Online which will be switched off in November. The new platform will also be introduced in France, Italy and Germany.
“We promised the new booking system when we launched our ‘Serving You’ programme and we have delivered it as planned,” said MSC’s executive director UK & Ireland Giles Hawke. “Agents very often say that booking cruises is a time-consuming and complicated process, so we have invested in making it as easy as possible. MSC Book should be a real boon to agents familiar to MSC Cruises as well as a great tool for attracting new retailers.”
