NATS recently completed an audit training programme for six Libyan auditors from the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The programme was part of NATS’ long term commitment to Libya and development of the country’s aviation industry. It also demonstrates continuing support of UK organisations towards development of new Libya.
The training course has been specifically developed to Libya’s needs and complies with ICAO’s and other internationally recognised standards and principles.
Salem Elayana, head of audit at the Libyan CAA said: “The Libyan CAA recognises the need for training in all aspects of Air Traffic Management.”
The training programme included site visits to Heathrow Airport and to the Area Centre at Swanwick. The auditors also attended a three-day training course at the NATS’ training centre in Whiteley Southampton.
