Nepal sends contingent to ITB Berlin

The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and two dozen travel companies from Nepal attended ITB Berlin last week. Marketing the destination as “the cradle of Buddhism”, the NepalTourism Board said many visitors showed their interest in Nepal and made queries about the special packages and offers for the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NTY 2011). Addressing the press conference, Ambassador of Nepal to Germany Suresh Man Pradhan said; “We have expected to lure a record number of 50,000 German tourists during the national tourism campaign.” NTB’s director Nandini Lahe-Thapa made a presentation on NTY 2011 and highlighted a wide range of tourist attractions Nepal has to offer. She also urged the German tour operators and media to support and promote Nepal and her unparalleled offerings of the nature, culture and adventure.
