The Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions has teamed up with ferry travel comparison site, directferries.com n an agreement to drive revenue from ferry travel booked through its official website Holland.com.
In addition to creating a new revenue stream for the tourist board, the new agreement with Direct Ferries enables visitors to Holland.com to book ferries directly.
With all routes available from the UK, including Harwich to Hook of Holland, Hull to Rotterdam, Newcastle to Amsterdam, Dover to Calais and Dover to Dunkirk the collaboration enables visitors to the site the flexibility to look at all the ferry options and prices in one go.
Direct Ferries already provides ferry booking technology for third parties including Avios and deals with other major players are in the pipeline.
