New chefs for Loch Lomond hotel, Silversea appoints UK commercial director

Scotland’s four-star Loch Lomond Arms Hotel has appointed two new chefs.
Allan McLaughlin has been appointed Head Chef and David Hetherington Sous Chef.
McLaughlin joined the hotel from his previous head chef role at Woodlands Park in Surrey, part of the prestigious Hand Picked Hotel Collection. In this role, he had overall responsibility for the fine dining restaurant, brasserie and nine private dining rooms. He has also worked in a number of London gastro pubs including Gary Rhodes Brasserie.
David Hetherington was previously at the Riverhill Deli & Café and the renowned Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery in Glasgow before joining Loch Lomond Arms. A local from Arrochar, Hetherington got to the third round of Master Chef three years ago when he was only 23. He describes cooking for Michelle Roux Junior “a great experience and a huge personal challenge”.

Silversea, the ultra-luxury cruise operator, has appointed Lisa McAuley UK commercial director.
McAuley joins Silversea from car rental company Avis where she worked for 15-years, holding several senior commercial roles within the business.
Previously she has held senior sales roles with Travelpack, STS Shearings Holidays, Swallow Hotels (Marriott) and Lunn Poly / TUI Travel.
McAuley is expected to take up the role with Silversea in June and will report to Steve Odell, president Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific for Silversea.

Corinthia Hotel London has appointed Henrietta Low its PR manager. Low joined Corinthia Hotel London in February 2012 as PR and Marketing Coordinator following her experience in a variety of creative roles with Tomasz Starzewski, Drumkilbo Designs, Pierre Frey, and National Galleries of Scotland.
Working closely with Fiona Harris, director of International Public Relations Corinthia Hotels, Henrietta has been key in delivering the PR strategy for London and has been instrumental in the success of large projects including the annual Artist in Residence programme and the ‘Power of Sleep’ campaign in 2014.
