Ruili Airlines, a new passenger carrier based in Kunming, southwest China, has signed an agreement for six Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
As part a ceremony held this week to mark the airline’s second anniversary, Ruili Airlines penned a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Boeing and leasing company AVIC for six B787-9 aircraft. These will become the carrier’s first twin-aisle jets.
In June 2015, Ruili Airlines placed an order for 30 B737 MAX aircraft, and plans to expand its fleet to 80 aircraft by end of 2025.
At present, Ruili Airlines operates nine B737s on domestic routes from Kunming to cities including Tianjin, Shenyang, Harbin, Xi’an, Chengdu, Chongqing and Wuhan.
