A new conference centre has opened in Kyoto, Japan. The Karasuma Convention Hall has a maximum meeting capacity of 560 people, five small meeting roms and 600m2 of open space. The venue is located in the city centre, near to several leading hotels and a variety of spaces for events of all types.
James Kent, Kyoto Convention Bureau’s International Marketing Manager, said; “Kyoto is increasingly becoming an important centre for global events and conferences which has resulted in an increased demand for new venues and supporting hotel infrastructure. As a stand alone venue we also expect [the Karasuma Convention Hall] to develop a significant market share within the city’s one day domestic conference market.”
