A new luxury boutique resort has opened its doors in a mountainous region of Yunnan province, in southern China.
Set at an altitude of 3,400 metres in the Meili Snow Mountains, close to the borders with Tibet and Sichuan province, the CC Regalia Dechen Resort & Spa is surrounded by 13 snow-capped peaks.
The Thai-style luxury resort features 88 rooms, including 21 one- and two-bedroom villas, all of which feature under-floor heating and Tibetan rugs, with large windows offering views of the surrounding mountains. Some of the rooms also have private balconies, while in-room technology includes 40-inch satellite TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Facilities at the resort include a Thai restaurant, a Chinese restaurant with private dining rooms, plus a bar with evening entertainment, along with a spa. Meeting and event facilities include a 320m² banquet room for up to 250 guests and a 140m² meeting room for 100 delegates.
The CC Regalia Dechen Resort & Spa is located close to Shangri-La, which was renamed after the fictional mountain paradise in 2001. It becomes Regalia Hotel Group’s sixth property in China.
