BookingLate.com has, ironically, been launched ahead of schedule to target the summer late booking market. The venture is the first to be developed by John McLean, CEO of the Online Travel Agent Group (OTAG), which will introduce a further two brands, MyWayTravel.com and MyWayCruise.com in April.BookingLate.com has claimed it will offer discounts of up to 50 percent on holidays from Thomas Cook, Airtours, Thomson, First Choice, Cosmos, Olympic and others with ABTA and ATOL protection. “For too long the late bookings market has been dominated by one or two names and we felt it was time to challenge this,” said McLean. “Unforeseen global factors such as the Icelandic ash cloud last year and the current unrest in North Africa and the Middle East have contributed to the decline in consumer confidence for booking holidays in advance. Customers want to know that they will definitely get to their destinations without any disruption.” The new website will be fronted by Paul Iredale
