A new upscale beach resort will debut in Krabi later this year.
Scheduled to soft-open on 1 November 2016, The Shellsea will be set on an isolated beach adjacent to Krabi’s Shell Fossil Beach. Bookings open at the beginning of August.
The resort will be operated by Aonang Ville, which also owns and operates the Aonang Villa Resort, one of the longest established resorts on Aonang Beach, Krabi’s main tourist hub.
“This is a very exclusive part of Krabi and our beachfront location along with the proximity to the world-famous Shell Fossil Beach gives us a great advantage in attracting guests,” said Chatchawan Pankudrua, group general manager of Aonang Ville. “Our sister resort at Aonang opened almost 30 years ago and consistently enjoys the highest occupancy rates in Krabi, so we are very confident in the potential for The Shellsea.”
The new resort will offer 72 rooms, including sea view, beachfront and pool access options, plus a range of villas with private pools and terraces. The top room category, the grand villa, is set directly on the beach and has its own pool.
Facilities include a lap pool, family pool, kids’ club, spa, fitness centre, restaurants, a beach bar and water sports. Guests will also have access to a 300-metre-long beach that is linked directly to Shell Fossil Beach.
