The Wusong International Cruise Ship Terminal opens in Shanghai today, becoming the city’s second major port for international cruise liners. The Shanghai daily reported that the new terminal is located in the city’s Baoshan district, where the Huangpu River converges with the Yangtze River and flows into the East China Sea. The new cruise terminal is expected to handle 560,000 passengers per year by 2015, although it has a capacity to handle. Two berths are operational, with a further two to be added by 2012. The new terminal will have ferry and bus links to downtown Shanghai, the report added.
