TrekAmerica is launching two of its most adrenalin-filled tours for summer 2010.
The new Xtra Adventures, based in Canada and New England, include a larger range of adventure activities within the headline price, enabling thrill-seeking travellers to budget more easily ahead of their trips. Extreme zip-lining and a zodiac whale watching excursion are amongst the activities included in Canada, whilst trekkers will enjoy an overnight wilderness canoe trip and rock climbing on the New England itinerary.
“Outdoors activities are central to all TrekAmerica tours, but most are optional and paid locally,” comments TrekAmerica sales director Richard Hanson. “Xtra Adventures will appeal to adrenalin junkies who know they’ll want a piece of all the action, since they can pay upfront and know exactly what action awaits.”
The new trips were introduced following the success of an existing Xtra Adventure, Canyon Adventure, based in the south-western USA.
All three action-packed Xtra Adventures are 10 days long.
Canadian Adventure
Departing from Seattle, travellers head to the adrenalin capital of Canada - Whistler - and kick off the trip with a zip-line tour through the trees. Next stop is Vancouver Island for some of the best cave exploration in British Columbia before a whale watching zodiac boat cruise around Clayoquot Sound in search of grey whales, sea lions, seals, porpoise and possibly even killer whales.
Victoria is one of the prettiest cities in Western Canada, founded in 1843 as a Hudson Bay Company trading post and the perfect place to spend a day discovering the history, culture and shopping.
Canadian Adventure has its first departure on 5th July 2010 with prices from
