Rosewood Hotel Group has continued the expansion of its upscale New World brand in China, with the launch of the New World Guiyang Hotel, in southern China’s Guizhou province.
The new hotel forms part of the Sunny Town development, close to Guiyang International Exhibition & Convention Centre, and offers 306 rooms and suites ranging in size from 45 to 623m². The presidential suite on the 18th floor becomes the largest in the city and features an outdoor swimming pool and a 230m² balcony and garden with views of the city.
There is also a selection of club rooms, plus a ‘Residence Club Living Room’ on the 17th floor that offers private check-in, all-day refreshments, evening cocktails and a conference room.
In terms of facilities, the hotel offers a bar and two restaurants, including a Chinese outlet with eight private dining rooms, plus 2,000m² of meeting space with a 940m² ballroom, seven function rooms and an outdoor terrace.
A health club and spa will open in early 2015 featuring three treatment rooms, a fitness centre, sauna and a 25-metre swimming pool.
“At New World Guiyang Hotel we provide a retreat for travellers who desire convenience, privacy and the highest standards of comfort and personalised service,” said Leslie Lowe, the hotel’s general manager. “Our goal is to deliver a delightful experience of modern Oriental hospitality to every guest who steps across our threshold.”
Rosewood now operates nine New World hotels in Asia, including six in mainland China. And this expansion will continue in the coming years, with six new hotels planned for the country.
