A new revamped website has been launched detailing cycling trails and itineraries in the Yorkshire Dales.
The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority hopes the updated website will help those looking to plan visits inspired by the Tour de France, which will start in Yorkshire next year.
Information about next year’s Grand Départ as well as its classic hill climbs, hire locations and maps are all available on the site.
“The prospect of the Tour de France coming through the Dales next year has really given a boost to the local economy and to cycling in the area, and local clubs have reported a huge surge in interest,” said Nick Thwaite, the YDNPA’s member champion for recreation management.
“This website is a mine of information for anyone wanting to explore this amazing area on a bike – containing details on everything from ways of getting here to up-and-coming cycling events,” he added.
The site can be seen at www.cyclethedales.org.uk.
