The Indonesian government has turned down a proposal by the country’s airports operator to increase the airport service charge.
According to Bali Update (www.balidiscovery.com), Indonesia’s Minister of Transportation, Jusman Syafei Djamal, was quoted saying that the 50% fee increase was “non-viable” now due to the poor service being provided by PT Angkasa Pura at most Indonesian airports.
The Minister pointed to the lack of toilet facilities at most airports.
According to the report, the Minister had given Angkasa Pura three months to improve their service standards and airport facilities under their management.
