Nok Air offers new mobile payment option
Thai low-cost carrier Nok Air has launched a new mobile payment system.
In collaboration with Thailand’s Kasikorn Bank, the airline’s new Nok X service enables passengers to make credit card payments via Nok’s smartphone application.
Using mPOS (mobile point-of-sale) software, the app is able to accept credit card payments. Customers will be able to authenticate the card by signing the smartphone screen.
“It has always been Nok Air’s policy to find new reservation methods that are efficient and state-of-the-art for our customers. In the past year, we have introduced new services that allow customers to upgrade their lifestyles so that it is compatible with modern day living,” said Patee Sarasin, Nok’s Chief Executive Officer. “Nok Air is confident that mPOS will be a service option that will allow more convenience and efficiency for customers of Nok Air, which will further enhance their satisfaction.”
Nok Air becomes the first airline in Thailand to offer mPOS payment services.
