Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the details of its agent engagement strategy ahead of the inauguration of its next ship the Norwegian Breakaway.
The programme will feature talks in different locations around the ship which the agents can attend and earn extra commission for a limited time after. The announcement comes after Cruise News spoke to Nick Wilkinson, business development director of the line last month. The day will work by giving each agent a barcode that can be scanned at the ship’s key locations.
In total 4% of commission can be earned across the day.

Nick Wilkinson, director business development UK & Ireland, Norwegian Cruise Line said: “Our Partners First philosophy recognises the central part that the trade plays in product distribution, and the ‘Engage & Reward’ programme idea is rooted in that.
“Attending agents will have the opportunity to earn incremental commission for their organisation through attending the various educational elements of the launch activity.”
Norwegian will also be hosting executives from its various destination partners so agents can learn more about the line’s itineraries. Destinations include Alaska, Seattle, Miami, Barcelona and Palma.
