Nihiwatu, located on the Indonesian island of Sumba, will unveil its very own Chocolate Factory in September.
Designed by the appropriately named designer, Charly, and his ‘Chocolate Wizard’ partner, Chris, they are bringing their factory to Nihiwatu so that kids can learn to become chocolatiers whilst parents enjoy an afternoon by the pool.
Using cocoa from local Sumbanese cocoa plantations, the facility will be open every afternoon six days a week so children can learn how to make chocolate. There will be daily chocolate lessons when the ‘Wizards’ describe the process from plant to chocolate bar; guests will be able to go on a chocolate tour around the island and afterwards they can venture to the chocolate shop.
Nihiwatu was recently voted the number one hotel in the world in the annual Travel + Leisure awards .
