Japanese hospitality giants, Hotel Okura and JAL Hotels have announced the reorganisation and expansion of their sales offices in order to boost their presence in the international market.
In addition to their 10 existing sales offices – five in Japan, and five others in Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, Denver and Amsterdam – the companies will assign sales representatives and share sales offices in six other locations – New York, Los Angeles, London, Frankfurt, Paris and Moscow.
The move is intended to enhance awareness of the companies’ properties in international markets, as well as to tap into a greater range of sectors, including MICE, by exhibiting and participating in trade shows in the various countries. The first new sales offices opened in New York and Los Angeles on 1 April, and the others will follow.
In order to strengthen their sales network, the companies have contracted New York-based hospitality sales and marketing specialist, The Private Label Company LLC, to promote the Okura and JAL Hotels brands and develop new clients.
Hotel Okura and JAL Hotels became partner brands in September 2010.
