Olympic Holidays has announced it has ended its contract with Luxembourg-based Strategic Airlines for the remainder of the summer season.
The tour operator will now use Aegean Airlines, Czech carrier Travel Services and Italian airline Livingston Air to operate its flights to Greece and Cyprus. Rumours have now circulated that Strategic is due to collapse. Its office phone number was not answered when Travel Daily called for a comment.
“After discussions over the weekend with Strategic Airlines and in the light of the information they provided to us, we took this commercial decision to safeguard the interests of our customers and agents,” said Photis Lambrianides, Olympic’s commercial director.
“Flight timings are virtually identical and we would like to take this opportunity to reassure the trade that it’s business as usual and that our actions will have minimal effect on their clients.”
