Muriya recently welcomed members of the National Youth Commission, along with youth representatives from various sectors to its Salalah Beach destination.
The chairman of Muriya, Samih Sawaris met with the delegation and shed light on Oman’s rapidly-expanding tourism industry and outlined the potential for increased youth involvement in the hospitality sector.
Sawiris also CEO of Orascom Development Holding AG (ODHN) said: “We call upon the young people of Oman to explore the myriad possibilities in tourism. This generation, representing over half of Oman’s population, needs to take the lead in pushing Oman’s travel and tourism agenda.”
At Salalah Beach, Muriya recently opened the Salalah Rotana Resort with 400 rooms. This is the second hotel following the Juweira Boutique Hotel that opened in 2012. The Juweira hotel offers 82 guest rooms with 21 marina suites. The destination also offers a 200-berth marina, recreational, commercial and retail outlets.
