What does this ship launch mean to you personally?

It’s been four years since the launch of our last ship, and many of our competitors have launched new ships, so this is now our moment!  It’s the beginning of a busy decade with 10 more launches planned between 2017 and 2026.  This moment is emotional, but it’s amazing to see your ideas coming to life.

What’s your favourite aspect of the ship?

What I love about this ship, is it’s wide and spacious, my first impression when I got on-board was WOW!

The promenade is truly the piece de resistance.  We took inspiration from the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, but we take it a step further, with special effects, which can be customised for different groups or nationalities.

The dining options also give guests so much choice, whether it be the English Pub, the Italian restaurant or the American steak house, their choices are truly endless.

How are sales going for this ship?

Going through the roof, its unbelievable – Our ships are very well perceived by travel agents and consumers.

What are the top 3 selling points, particularly for the UK trade?

There is so much, however three points are: Choice – 12 amazing dining options, 96 meter promenade and the first ever Cirque Du Soleil at sea – with 2 shows!

How are plans going for the launch of a UK based ship next year?

MSC Magnifica will be based in Southampton from 1 April 2018 and bookings are going very well.

We’ve listened to our customer base and we’ll be introducing, kettles, tea, coffee and cookies along with fresh milk… We’ll also be adding BBC channels along with live sports events.  We’ve also hired a British Hotel Director, and British Cruise Director.
