With so many exhibitors signed up it is crucial that visitors prioritise their time to gain maximum benefit”, he added. In 2009 the Arabian Travel Market hosted 2,100 exhibitors and stand-sharers, from 69 countries, including 70 new-to-market representatives – and over 2,200 members of the general public visited the exhibition on Consumer Day – traditionally held on the last day it allows exhibitors to target and interact with consumers directly. This year will also see the return of both Travel Agents’ and Careers Day, to be held on Thursday 6th May. Travel Agents’ day was first introduced in 2007 and is designed to foster the latest top class travel and tourism education among travel agents through a range of seminars and entertainment features.Careers Day offers onsite interviews, workshops and seminars, occupation and training advice to help interested parties to plan their next career move and exhibitors the chance to find the right candidate.A number of other initiatives will also be returning for 2010, reaffirming Arabian Travel Market’s continued commitment to investing in content, and ensuring it provides a one-stop-shop for all industry needs.New to this year’s ATM will be ‘Zone 8’, which provides a more relaxed area for informal networking away from the hustle and bustle of the main floor, as well as increased opportunities to interact with various destinations first hand through a series of live shows, which will serve to showcase new destinations and products. The Arabian Travel Market is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the auspices of the Government of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
