Outrigger has renamed its Ohana Hotels & Resorts brand.
The midscale brand, which operates in Hawaii, will now be known as Ohana Hotels by Outrigger, with a new logo and slogan: “Local hospitality and convenience in paradise.”
The rebranding forms part of Outrigger’s new corporate brand strategy, which was introduced last year when it launched the beachfront brand, ‘Outrigger Resorts’, and combined its Hawaiian resort condominiums under the name ‘Hawaii Vacations Condos by Outrigger’.
“The transition to Ohana Hotels by Outrigger allows our guests to more easily recognise the brand as part of the Outrigger Hotels & Resorts portfolio and associate this with our global focus on providing unique, culturally authentic vacation experiences,” said Sean Dee, Outrigger’s executive vice president & chief marketing officer. “We are confident this endorsement will provide benefits for both our guests and travel partners.”
Ohana Hotels by Outrigger features two properties in Hawaii, which will now be renamed as the Ohana Waikiki East by Outrigger and Ohana Waikiki Malia by Outrigger. These form part of a global portfolio of 40 properties either operating or under development across Asia, the Pacific and Indian Ocean, comprising approximately 9,000 rooms.
