Over 100,000 visitors at Shaikh Zayed heritage festival

The on-going Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival has been attracting a huge visitor base. The festival as of recent date has attracted over 100,000 people. The event is scheduled to conclude on 12 December 2014.
The festival showcases UAE’s culture, traditions and history and is held under the patronage of president His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Humaid Al Neyadi, vice-chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the Shaikh Zayed Heritage Festival 2014, said: “Attracting over 100,000 visitors in the first week of our 22-day festival is an achievement. This festival has already exceeded all our expectations for this year, and we look forward to offering various activities that showcase our heritage.”
The Festival offers visitors an array of events and activities such as daily workshops involving craftsmen, traditional military bands, camel shows, as well as Emirati and Gulf folk arts.
