(London): Singapore-headquarted Park Hotel Group has expanded its Regional Sales Office network into Europe, appointing Five Continents as its marketing representative based in London.
Park Hotel Group’s Senior Vice President Mohd K. Rafin said: “The appointment of Five Continents will expand our distribution and access to the British and European travel markets. The opening of our sales office in UK will support our existing clients, and provide greater opportunities for in-market sales promotion of our expanding portfolio of hotels.”
Five Continents Director Gerald Fitzpatrick said: “I am delighted that Five Continents is now the sales and marketing arm for Park Hotel Group in the UK and Europe, and we look forward to working with travel trade partners to develop sales to our hotels in Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Japan.”
The European Regional Sales Office is the latest addition to Park Hotel Group’s network of regional offices in Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Singapore.
Park Hotel Group is one of Asia-Pacific’s fastest expanding hospitality brands. It owns and operates eight properties in Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Japan.
In August this year, Park Hotel Group celebrated the latest addition to its portfolio with the grand opening of Park Hotel Clarke Quay in Singapore. In May 2010, it will unveil its flagship property, Grand Park Orchard, in Singapore.
Elsewhere across the region, the Group’s Hong Kong property – Park Hotel Hong Kong – has completed a major refurbishment, showcasing a brand new look. In Wuxi, China, Park Hotel Group’s Grand Park Wuxi is planning for a re-launch in the first quarter of 2010, after a refurbishment programme.
The Group continues to view China as a key growth market and will continue its focus on the bourgeoning second-tier cities. In Japan, the Group has been assessing acquisition targets since its first acquisition in Otaru, Hokkaido, last December.
