The Park Hyatt Sydney is set to undertake the largest renovation in the hotel’s 20-year history. Scheduled to commence in April 2011, the renovation programme, will take place over a period of seven months, will involve closure of the hotel. Park Hyatt Sydney is due to re-open its doors late in October 2011.
The revamp of the hotel will include the addition of three luxury rooftop suites and significant changes to all rooms, including architectural fixtures and finishes, contemporary lighting, new furniture and artwork by renowned Australian artists. All guest rooms will feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open on to private balconies.
In addition to the complete makeover of its accommodation, the hotel’s restaurants and bars, private dining rooms, day spa and recreational facilities will also be enhanced.
The renovation programme will also see Hyatt install energy-efficient lighting and water-saving devices throughout the hotel.
Park Hyatt Sydney’s General Manager, Andrew Mensforth, said; “Our primary focus remains our valued guests. We look forward to proceeding with our renovation as this transformation will provide for an enhanced guest experience.”
Park Hyatt Sydney’s renovation plan remains subject to government approval and has been scheduled to coincide with the hotel’s winter period to minimise disruption to guests. The hotel is currently accepting reservations until 27 March 2011.
